Drizzle hasn't dampened the enthusiasm of a dozen classic car owners, various stallholders, dogs and performers, who have gathered on the Puddydale for the Heswall Jubilee Fete.

Organised by the Heswall and District Business Association, the event started at 10 this morning and ends at 4 this afternoon.

The HDBA has had to tackle inclement weather and the problems it has brought.

Posting on Facebook this morning, the association pluckily announced: "Even with the rain today's event is still going on! Unfortunately, due to insurance issues with the rain, the bouncy castle won't be here, but all other activities will be, like live music, the dog show, classic cars, so come on down and support Heswall!"

The HDBA is a voluntary organisation helping to support local businesses and promoting the town in general, with an emphasis on the future of the high street and shopping locally.

So if you're in Heswall today, or sitting at home at a loose end, why not pop along to the Puddydale and see what's going on?
