Wirral Council launches its appeal for Christmas gifts for vulnerable youngsters

The organisers are hoping to repeat the success of last year's appeal and are once again calling on residents, businesses, and Council staff to donate different types of gifts for children in need of all ages – from babies up to 16 year olds.

Here are some suggestions:

- Toys for 0-12 year olds

- Pyjamas for 0-16 year olds

- Gifts for teenagers such as toiletries, perfume, aftershave, make-up, socks and costume jewellery

- Selection boxes

- One4All gift cards (available online and from Post Offices)

- Medium and large Christmas gift bags Public drop-off points for new and unwrapped donations will remain open until Friday 17 December (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri). None is particularly close to Heswall, but then again, none of them is too far away: - The Floral Pavilion, Marine Prominade, New Brighton, CH45 2JS

- Brassey Gardens Children's Centre, 2 Brassey St, -

Birkenhead, CH41 8DA

- Bromborough Children's Centre, Gratrix Road Bromborough, CH62 7BW

- Rock Ferry Children's Centre, Ionic Street, CH42 2BL

- Seacombe Children's Centre, St Paul's Road, CH44 7AN
