Save the date, save the planet - why not visit Cool Heswall on Saturday May 14th?
Organised by the Joint Rotary Environment Group, Cool Heswall will happen in Hill House Gardens and Heswall Hall.
The event's aim is to raise awareness of climate change and share ideas about how we can help keep our climate cool enough for our youngsters and future generations.
And it's absolutely free.
Kate Jenner, a member of the Joint Rotary Environment Group in Heswall, who last featured in Heswall Nub News to explain the pleasing Wildflowers on the Puddydale project which began almost a year ago, said: "We had hoped to run Cool Heswall in September last year, but due to COVID we had to postpone.
"On May the 14th, between 10am and 4pm, we will have more than 25 local environmental and eco-organisations joining us, and we hope visitors will come along to have a bit of fun with the activities devised by each stallholder - and learn a bit more about what we can all do to protect our environment and combat climate change.
"We have musical entertainment too and a supporting cycle ride; there's storytelling for children and the child in all of us - and tea and cakes by the Heswall Honeys WI team.
"There'll be lots to do and think about, and groups like the Friends of Heswall Dales and Heswall in Bloom who can tell us about their work and explain how people can get involved if they would like to."
In the build-up to Cool Heswall you can also attend a talk by Nick Drew called 'Climate Crisis - What's Your Story?'
Nick is the founder of Planet Heswall and the Echo Environmental Champion of 2021. Entry costs a couple of quid on the door, and the evening gets underway at 7pm on Tuesday May 10th.
