Heswall Hall is celebrating a very special anniversary
Heswall Hall is marking a year since it reopened its doors following an enforced closure due to COVID lockdowns.
"It's been an amazing twelve months and we cannot thank the people of Heswall and our regular users for sticking with us," said chair of the board of trustees which voluntarily runs the hall, Karen Griffith.
"We've undergone a huge learning curve both in adapting to such challenging conditions and changing our business model but here we are, one year on.
"I can't wait to see what the next 12 months bring."
The hall was originally run by Wirral Council but transferred over into community ownership around 11 years ago.
During lockdown when it was closed the building underwent a major revamp including the installation of a state of art light and sound system to enhance its stage area.
New bar and catering partners were brought on board and a programme of redecoration was also completed.
As well as hosting regular community clubs and societies, Heswall Hall is now established as a venue for live music and comedy as well as weddings, celebrations and functions.
It was also recently chosen to host The Mayor of Wirral's Platinum Ball to mark the Platinum Jubilee of HM The Queen.
