29th Jul 2021 | Local Features

Pollards Inn and Restaurant is a pleasing gastropub and small hotel sited in a building which hails back to the 16th century.

It has five country bedrooms, and is a long established part of life in the village of Willaston.

Pollards prides itself on fine food and a warm welcome - which includes dogs in the bar and dining area.

Says Pollards: "Our gastropub menu has all your traditional favourites, as well as some of our very own creations, including our fantastic freshly hand-stretched pizzas and garden sharing platters. Our bar has some specially selected cask ales, cocktails, premium beers and fine wines."

The Inn is now seeking a full-time Chef De Partie.

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week and earn £19,000 to £21,800, working alongside the head chef/sous chef to manage daily kitchen activities, menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking.

You will have to deliver meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes and meeting high standards.

It will be hoped or expected that you have:

- Experience in kitchens

- Your own transport, due to the rural location of Pollards Inn.

- Knowledge of food hygiene standards

- Drive and the ability to be a team player

- The ability to work quickly and efficiently

- High attention to detail

An immediate start is available.
