Merseyside Police officers have arrested a woman on suspicion of drink driving following a road traffic collision in Wallasey in the early hours of this morning.
At around 12.30am police received a report that a white Audi was in collision with street furniture in Wallasey Village, just after the junction with Leasowe Road.

Wirral Food, Drink and Music Festival has been rescheduled to 2022.
It was 'with a heavy heart' that Wirral Council announced the postponement of this year's event due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to an interactive map created by Climate Central, a non-profit news organisation that analyses and reports on climate science, many coastal areas - including Lower Heswall, Neston and Parkgate - are at risk from being submerged by the year 2050.
Sea levels are rising as a result of global warming, which, according to the map, means that if nothing is done to arrest and reverse our direction of travel, the loss of land is inevitable.

During the pandemic Heswall Hall has been working hard to reopen with brand new facilities and a renewed sense of confidence.
A programme of refurbishment aims to make the Hall a go-to Wirral venue which will attract visitors from beyond the immediate area, and partnerships with Blind Pig bar and Peninsula Catering were forged to provide first class food and drink for guests both regular and new.

Wirral, as part of the Liverpool City Region, is among the areas to receive additional support to tackle a rapid rise in cases of the Delta variant of COVID-19.
The enhanced support is now in place across the entire City Region and much of the Northwest and will see increased efforts to encourage residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine to help protect them from the virus.
