Beauty salon Positive Touch on Grange Road in West Kirby has shut up shop for good, and its owner, who once ran a sister salon on Telegraph Road in Heswall, has described how the pandemic took its toll.
Laura Weston, who launched Positive Touch two decades ago, and opened the Heswall salon back in early 2016, has explained the reasons for the demise of her business on the company's website.

A 28 year-old Heswall man has become the latest offender on Merseyside to be jailed as part of Operation Venetic – an international operation targeting criminals who used a mobile encryption service to try to evade detection.
Adam Plant, of Downfield Close, West Derby Village, but formerly from Heswall, was identified after sharing an image on his encro device of cannabis in the palm of his hand.

Directors of Public Health across Merseyside and Cheshire have issued a joint message to residents and businesses in their areas to continue to take COVID-19 safety precautions even after the legal restrictions are lifted from Monday 19th July.
They cite high and increasing case numbers in the region, the risk to those who have yet to be vaccinated and the potential disruption to services and businesses due to high numbers of people having to self-isolate as reasons for a careful approach to living with COVID-19 from next week.
