There was no game at Gayton Park at the weekend because the Heswall Reserves clash with Willaston was postponed due to several players coming down with symptoms which were unpleasant but thankfully not COVID-19.
It was a shame not to play, but the upside was that the hallowed turf of Heswall FC could take a break before winter kicks in and grass growing stops until the spring.

Fears that Wirral council is "scaring" people by saying it faces a £30m budget shortfall were expressed last night.
Wirral Council's Policy and Resources Committee met yesterday evening to discuss the authority's budget for the next financial year, but some councillors were worried about information put out by the council recently.

More people are complaining about dog poo in Wirral in the wake of the pandemic.
Last night's meeting of Wirral Council's Environment and Transport Committee heard that reports of dog fouling on the authority's website were up by 23% since the first COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020.
