Residents in more than 60 Wirral streets did not have their bins collected yesterday, as the council warns of a "knock on effect" from alleged "action by refuse collectors".
In total, collections were missed in 67 streets in Heswall, Pensby, Thingwall, Irby, New Ferry, Eastham and Bromborough.

Work could begin on the new Heswall 'Spoons' within weeks of the pub chain's other boozers reopening fully.
The news formed part of an announcement today that Wetherspoon is set to invest an initial £145 million developing new pubs and upgrading existing venues - creating 2,000 new jobs in the process.
Detectives investigating a car theft in Heswall last month have released images of a man they want to trace.
It was reported that a grey Mercedes was stolen on Barnston Road between 11.30pm on Wednesday 17 February and 6.30am on Thursday 18 February.
