Residents are being invited to have their say on what it means to be active in Wirral, to help shape the council's leisure services in the future.

For the next six weeks, local people are being asked to tell Wirral Leisure what services and activities they would like to see available across the borough. Questions will also ask about what stops people from being active, including access issues and what support could be offered to help them get involved.

At least another five weeks from today before restrictions might ease

It's not much of a surprise given many recent scientific warnings and government notes of caution, but the majority of COVID-19 rules will remain in place in England for another four weeks beyond the hoped for 21 June unlocking date set out in the government's 'roadmap to freedom'.

Senior ministers backed the decision to push back the tearing up of all legal restrictions on social contact.
