What's On in Heswall this weekend?

By Mark Gorton 10th Dec 2021

Tomorrow night, at Heswall Hall, Heswall Musical Society presents "A Dickens of a Christmas" at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee the following day starting at 2.30pm.

As you can see below, it's described as "a traditional Christmas show with a bit of a twist", the cost of admission is £10 (concessions £8) and you can find out more by viewing our What's On listing for the event by clicking or tapping here.

On Saturday, between 11am and noon, Santa (above, looking jolly) will make a flying visit to Linghams book store. Tickets cost £4 - which includes a small gift - and can be secured by popping into the shop on Telegraph Road, or by calling 0151 342 7290.

Also at Heswall Hall, but on Sunday, there's another chance for families with young dinosaur fans to enjoy the Teach Rex Velociraptor Show.

We went along last Sunday and you can read our review by clicking or tapping here.

On the football front, Heswall FC Firsts welcome Chester Nomads to Gayton Park on Saturday. Kick off is at 2pm. Says the club: "We are praying for improved weather. The clubhouse - and the bar - will be open."

If you want to push the boat out you can always try Thornton Manor's Winter Wonderlight walk through the estate.

This Christmas attraction has been open since November the 23rd and ends on December the 23rd. There are two chances this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, and the experience lasts from 4.30pm to 7.15pm.

Says Thornton Manor: "Spend time together and create everlasting festive memories on an unforgettable walk-through wonderland experience for all the family."
