Merseyside Police detectives are completing multiple lines of enquiry after the body of a man was found on Smallridge Close in Pensby on Sunday March 27.

At this stage, police are treating the incident as an unexplained death, and currently not looking for anyone else in connection with it.

The five people arrested at the scene have been released with no further action.

The deceased's next of kin have been informed, and a file is being prepared for the Coroner.

The scene has now been stood down on Smallridge Close, and Merseyside Police would like to thank the local community for their patience while the incident was dealt with.
