Starting tonight, Birkenhead Tunnel closures
Please note that if you need to go over the water via the Queensway Tunnel, better known as the Birkenhead Tunnel, a programme of essential maintenance works will bring two closures, one short, one long, to all traffic during February, with more to come next month.
The Tunnel will be out of action between 2100 tonight and 0630 tomorrow morning.
The following day, February 23rd, there will be a complete closure starting at 2100 and continuing until 0630 on Monday March 1st.
Thereafter there will also be complete closures from:
2100 on Monday 15 March to 0630 Tuesday 16 March
2100 on Tuesday 16 March to 0630 Wednesday 17 March2100 on Wednesday 17 March to 0630 Thursday 18 March
2100 on Thursday 18 March to 0630 Friday 19 MarchThe Kingsway / Wallasey Tunnel will remain open.
