Plans to open a new restaurant in Heswall until 1.30am have faced a backlash from some local residents.
Tahona Projects Limited is understood to be wanting to open a Mexican restaurant which will turn into a bar around 11pm at The Curve on The Mount.
But some fear the plan could cause anti-social behaviour and public nuisance, as well as parking problems.
In total, 21 residents contacted Wirral Council to voice their concerns with the plan.
Documents prepared for a Licensing Panel meeting, which will take place at 10am on Wednesday, April 6, said the residents also had "strong concerns regarding the operating hours" due to how close the premises is to residential properties.
The restaurant would be open between 9am and 1.30am every day under current plans, with recorded music being allowed between the same hours. Alcohol will be sold between 10am and 1.30am each day.
The premises would also be allowed to play live music between 6pm and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays should its plan be approved.
Following discussions with Merseyside Police, it has been agreed the premises will operate primarily as a restaurant and that CCTV will be installed, as well as a number of other conditions including staff being fully trained and policies to ensure underage customers are not served alcohol.
Wirral Council's Licensing Panel, a group of three councillors, will decide whether to approve or reject the application at the meeting next Wednesday. The public meeting will take place at New Brighton's Floral Pavilion at 10am.
