Street parties for the Queen's Jubilee will see 78 Wirral roads closed at various times across the Jubilee weekend.

Queen Elizabeth II is Britain's longest-reigning monarch and will become the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.

To mark the historic event, a huge array of public events across the UK are planned including parades, street parties and an extra Bank Holiday.

Over the long Bank Holiday weekend of June 2-June 5, millions are expected to gather with family, friends and neighbours to mark the special occasion. Some events have already started and others will take place later in the summer.

In Wirral, many residents have decided to join in with the celebrations and throw street parties. To enable the celebrations to go ahead, special traffic orders have been put in place which will see 78 locations closed to traffic while street parties take place.

The deadline for people to arrange road closures has now passed and no further traffic orders can be implemented in time for the Jubilee weekend. However, if people or organisations are still considering staging a public event at a local venue, they have until 10 working days before the event to apply for a Temporary Event Notice.

Here is a list of all the Wirral locations where Jubilee street parties will be held:

Locally, these are the streets that will be closed for Platinum parties:

Ashlea Road, Pensby

Briar Drive, Heswall

Colemere Drive (including Howards Road), Thingwall

Elmwood Drive (Between Irby Road and Berwyn Drive), Heswall

Moorland Park, Heswall (from the cul de sac for its full extent)

Pine View Drive, Pensby

Rosemead Avenue, Pensby
