Job of the Week: barista for the cafe at Linghams Booksellers on Telegraph Road, Heswall

If you fancy mixing books with brewing up - and occasionally fixing coffee and cake for best selling authors - then this part time role at Linghams may float your boat.

The shop is well known for its regular in store book signings and larger events hosted by venues like The Neston Club and Thornton Hall Hotel - in fact, Linghams is an important destination for publishers promoting their wares beyond London.

Linghams is a pleasant place to buy a book and hang out for a drink and bite to eat, with a relaxed clientele - so there's no reason why it shouldn't be a pleasant place to work.

Owner Sue Porter says the shop is looking for "someone hard working, dedicated and reliable with a fun and approachable personality to join our team in our coffee shop.

"This part time job is for someone who will thrive in a fast paced environment and with amazing customer service.

"Experience in the hospitality and catering sector and availability are essential."

The cafe seats around 35 people comfortably, and in the better weather there's an outdoor area immediately in front of the shop.
