In the best possible taste: Heswall's Whitmore and White to welcome back wine tasting events next month

After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, Heswall Independent Wine Merchants and Delicatessen Whitmore and White are to begin hosting their popular wine and spirit tasting evenings once more.

They will be held regularly on alternate Friday evenings starting Friday April 29th.

Each evening will have a specific wine or spirit based theme and canapés to match featuring delights from the deli side of the store.

If you've never been to a wine or spirit tasting before then you're in for a treat, says Whitmore and White's Graham Simpson.

"Each of the wines and spirits are selected after much deliberation from the team at Whitmore & White and much care is taken to have products that you'll only see in other independent merchants rather than supermarkets.

"The tastings themselves, far from being fusty formal affairs, are very informal but still informative.

There will normally be seven wines or six spirits on tasting, and the theme can range from a simple "Gin Tasting" evening to wines from a specific country theme to something a bit more unusual and off the beaten track.

"Current tastings run to the end of June but keep an eye out for more on our website calendar, or in the store itself."
