Shop local at Heswall Hall on Saturday between 10am and 2pm!

Heswall Farmers' Market provides a one stop shop for locally grown and cooked produce and products.

Wander round and pick up some delicious goodies and support local producers.

Stalls can vary from month to month but there's always something for everyone including: meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, cheeses, pies, jams and chutneys, cakes and other baked goods, pizza, ice cream and street food.

Storytime at Linghams on Telegraph Road, Saturday at 11am, can be an every week treat for the children in your lives.

Take him, her or them into the shop, and relax as they listen to a few stories in the bookshop's kids' area read by a member of Linghams' excellent team.

You can even take them for a snack before or afterwards in the cafe - and enjoy a coffee and cake yourself.

Talking of Linghams, and looking beyond the weekend to Tuesday the 23rd, The Neston Club is the venue for an author event featuring Lucy Beaumont talking about her new book, "Drinking Custard - The Diary of a Confused Mum".

Heswall FC are in action on Saturday. The First Team travels to Aintree Villa FC. The location, strangely at first glance, is Aintree Golf Centre, and kick-off is at 2pm.

"We're on the road again and hoping to bring another big three points back through the tunnel. It'll be a tough one, it always is. All support welcome!"

Gayton Park will welcome Mersey Harps as they clash with Heswall Reserves: 2pm kick-off.

While on Sunday the Heswall Youth Team will be away against Bootle FC Youth at Berry Street Stadium, Bootle. Another 2pm start.
