Cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19, the popular Wirral Open Studio Tour is set to return on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th September.
Now in its 11th year of celebrating visual arts across the peninsula, this free event will see around 70 artists and makers open the doors to their houses or studio spaces.
The Tour gives visitors an exciting opportunity to talk first-hand to the artists and to view their work in the environment in which it is created, or to just enjoy wandering through the various studios to answer that eternal question, 'What do artists do all day?'
There will be a hugely diverse selection of artworks on show, from original paintings, prints, glass and textiles to photography, sculpture, ceramics and jewellery.
Helen Smith, a glass artist and one of the Tour's volunteer organisers says: "It's been a tough year for many artists and self-employed creatives and we are really excited about the line-up for this year's show, which is bursting with colour and creativity."
Studios will be open from 10am-5pm on Saturday 11th September and Sunday 12th September.

As you'll see, nine artists are based in the Heswall area this year, in five studio venues.
Blue Moon Gallery on Telegraph Road and The Barn on Pye Road will host painters, mixed media artists, ceramicists and a jeweller, who will be setting up temporary studios for the weekend.
In Radnor Avenue, visitors can see woodturning and sculpture, while in Lower Heswall, art lovers will find landscape painting inspired by our beautiful Estuary.
In Parkgate you can explore the worlds of Louise Flood and Pamela Stokes.
West Kirby and Caldy are also well represented, but of course you can visit other parts of the peninsula too.
