It's set to be one of the biggest nights of the year for Merseyside.

But if you haven't managed to secure Eurovision tickets, don't fancy the city centre crowds yet still want to celebrate in style, Heswall Hall may just have the answer.

The Hall is having its own Eurovision party on May 13 with a live big screen stream of the event.

There'll be food and fizz too as well as guaranteed fun as the eyes of the world turn to the region as it celebrates the global song contest on behalf of Ukraine.

"We're really excited to be doing this," said Trustee Sue Ellis.

"We know there's a huge appetite to be part of Eurovision but for many the idea of going into Liverpool on the big night - and trying to get home again - is a real turnoff.

"This way we can come together with family, friends and neighbours and enjoy the fun of it all with cinema quality sound and pictures on our big screen right here on Heswall's doorstep."

Tickets are priced at £25 and include European themed grazing platters and a glass of fizz for the traditional Terry Wogan toast.
