ACTION! A YouTube channel for Heswall and district has been launched

By Mark Gorton 29th Jul 2021

Heswall has a new YouTube channel devoted to life in the town and district, and also offering local businesses the chance to enjoy a little online video exposure.

It's the brainchild of Valerie Warr and Edward Peak of local video production company, Festival Films, who have partnered with the Heswall and District Business Association, chaired by Steve Atherton of estate agents Hunters Heswall.

The channel is called Visit Heswall.

It's early days, and so far there are just three videos on the site - including one at the top of this page devoted to pets and some of the local businesses that care for them.

But it's a positive start for a service that aims to not only inform the Heswall district, but also reach out to people from beyond the area who might be tempted to visit and spend their money while making the most of what this part of the world has to offer.

More videos will be uploaded to Visit Heswall soon. Why not take a look at the channel now and Subscribe?

Film makers Valerie and Edward are also well known for the Heswall Arts Festival - which became so successful it rebranded as the Wirral Arts Festival, and returns to us in October after a break caused by the pandemic.

Because the local business community has long embraced the Festival, Valerie and Edward decided they would like to "give something back" and use their video production skills to promote the town where it first burst into life.

Steve Atherton said: "It is seen as a channel to promote everything that is good about Heswall and the district. Whether that be to publicise local business, talk about local issues, or to market events such as the Christmas lights, Summer Fair and so on.

"We hope it will show Heswall in all its glory and help showcase the town to a wider audience, therefore bringing people and business to the area in the long term.

"As an HDBA initiative, members will be offered the chance to get involved first, although not exclusively! We would welcome relevant contributions from anyone who would like to submit something for consideration."
