A shot in the arm: Wirral weekend walk-in vaccination centres
Walk-in Covid vaccinations are still being offered across the city region this weekend, including Wirral.
With infection rates still relatively high and some areas with only two-thirds of the population vaccinated, residents are being encouraged to get their jabs as soon as possible.
This includes younger people who are more likely to take advantage of Monday's reopening but remain vulnerable to the effects of the virus.
You can turn up to any of the sites listed below for a vaccination without booking an appointment, but if you are having your second jab it will need to be at least eight weeks since your first.
The vaccination centres in Wirral are as follows:
Saturday (July 24)
Birkenhead Medical Building, 31 Laird Street, Birkenhead, CH41 8DB, between 9am and 4pm (Pfizer and AstraZeneca)
The Oval Leisure Centre, Old Chester Road, Bebington, CH63 7LF, between 8.30am and 12.30pm (Pfizer and AstraZeneca)
Sunday (July 25)
Woodchurch Leisure Centre, Carr Bridge Road, Birkenhead, CH49 8EU, between 9am and 1pm (AstraZeneca second dose)
Tranmere Rovers Family Open Day, Prenton Park, CH41 2PY, between 12pm and 4pm
