Recently we've asked if the local community can do something to save and repurpose the abandoned Heswall police station - and if the very dismal Heswall railway station could also be given a new lease of life by making it possible to travel direct between the town and Liverpool.
Thanks to everyone who responded on social media, where it became plain that a fair few people would like a direct service - and not to hang out in a station that feels like it belongs in a spooky movie about the supernatural.

I used to spend happy times there. My first job was as a tourism copywriter for the County Council, and Trawden is just minutes from the beautiful and fascinating Wycoller Country Park.
