Business Group appoints Macclesfield based CEO as non-exec Director

The CEO of Macclesfield-headquartered Kinaxia Logistics has been appointed to the board of the business group Logistics UK.
Simon Hobbs has been CEO of Kinaxia since January 2020 and will be tasked with helping the business group guide the industry through its post-pandemic recovery.
Alongside Simons appointment, Logistics UK have appointed a further two people. Louisa Hosegood, the strategy and transformation director for Bis Henderson Group, and Gavin Murdoch, managing director of network transport solutions at DHL Supply Chain have also been appointed.
Phil Roe, president of Logistics UK, said: "Our new directors join us at an exciting time in our organisation's development and each brings a wealth of knowledge and business acumen which will be invaluable as we continue to drive Logistics UK forwards.
"The organisation passed 20,000 members for the first time recently, and we have ambitious plans for the year ahead. I look forward to working with them to deliver for our membership and the wider logistics industry.

Kinaxia is one of the fastest-growing logistics businesses in the UK, with annual revenues growing to over £200 million. It has a fleet of 850 vehicles, transporting goods for retail, leisure, drink and manufacturing sectors and employs 1,800 staff nationwide, including at its sites across the north west.
Simon has 35 years' experience within the logistics sector including senior roles at DHL, CEVA Logistics and Kuehne + Nagel
