Funding is available to help businesses looking to buy an eCargo bike and become more environmentally friendly.

The Energy Saving Trust are offering up to 40% of the cost of new eCargo bikes for businesses who want to go the extra mile and make their travel greener.

eCargo bikes are electric powered cycles with large storage areas – making them perfect for businesses – especially ones that might be making deliveries.

They are an environmentally friendly solution to transport as they are low carbon and their use can improve air quality, reduce fuel costs and help allow businesses travel in a cleaner way.

The eCargo Bike Grant Fund, can be used for the purchase of between one and five bikes up to the value of £2,500 each for two wheeled models and £4,500 each for three-wheeled models.

Applications are now open. Businesses can apply until 14 December 2021.

Applications may include more than one organisation, these are referred to as 'high-street' applications, and a lead applicant will be responsible for submitting the application.
